What's New in Sennoslink Mobile v1.3

Sennoslink Mobile v1.3 is built around a simple idea: when you pick up your phone, you should know in seconds how every batch is progressing and exactly where your attention is needed. This release delivers that — on the dashboard, in the Start Fermentation workflow, and across every screen in the app. Update from the App Store or Play Store, and this page will walk you through everything that changed.

📊All-new Fermentation Progress cards

Your first look at the new Sennos design direction.

The active fermentation card on your dashboard has been rethought from the ground up around a single question: how is this batch progressing, and does anything need me?

Each card leads with a fermentation progress bar — anchored by your OG and FG targets, with a day count — under a tank-first header showing batch, brand, location, and yeast. A simple status pill tells you the whole story at a glance: Monitoring when your probe is connected and updating, No connection when it needs attention. Probe icons in the corner stay quiet when everything is healthy and badge with an alert only when something needs you — tap one to expand signal, battery, and firmware details right on the card.

And when a card doesn't yet have the gravity targets it needs to draw your progress — it simply asks. Enter starting and final gravity right on the card, tap Save, and progress tracking begins. No hunting through settings, no leaving the dashboard.

🍺Start Fermentation, redesigned

A guided workflow that gets every batch off to a complete start.

Starting a fermentation is now a guided, four-step workflow with a progress indicator and consistent Next / Back / Cancel navigation: required details, additional details, notification subscriptions, and a final review with yeast pitch time before you start monitoring.

The workflow captures the data that matters most — yeast culture, start time, and starting and finishing gravity targets — so every batch begins with a complete, production-ready record. Complete records do double duty: better documentation for your team, and richer inputs for the Sennos gravity algorithms, which means more accurate curves and predictions for every fermentation you run.

Step 2 also introduces a small marker with a big payoff: fields flagged with a dot — culture, gravity, pitch rate — feed your brand maturity, building a more complete picture of each brand over time with every batch you run.

The workflow works with you along the way:

• Brand back-fill — if your brand is missing a culture or gravity target, enter it once during setup and update the brand record in a single tap
• Selective notifications — the master toggle now acts as select all / deselect all, so you can alert just the people who need to know about a given batch
• Discard protection — backing out with unsaved changes always asks first
• Start without a probe — begin a fermentation even before the probe connects; earlier data is associated automatically from yeast pitch time

🧫All-new culture search

Find the right strain in three keystrokes.

The culture picker is now a real-time search across manufacturer, strain name, and culture ID. Results group by manufacturer with sticky headers, your in-house strains always appear first with an "In-House" badge, and search focuses the moment the picker opens — start typing immediately. You'll meet it in the Start Fermentation workflow and everywhere else you select a culture.

🌐Sennoslink Gateway, now in the app

Site connectivity visibility, right from your phone.

A new Gateways section in the Tools menu brings your Sennoslink Gateway devices into the app for the first time. Every registered gateway appears as a status card with its name, model, serial number, color-coded online status, and human-readable uptime — and you can see which SennosM3 devices are connected through each gateway, connecting the dots between your sensors and the network path they depend on.

📟Device Details, restructured

Status and actions, right where you need them — plus full module visibility.

Status and Actions are now pinned to the top of every Device Details page — no more digging through collapsed sections to check on a probe. The former Wi-Fi Network, Connection, and Signal Strength rows merge into a single clear Network row: "Connected (strong)" when all is well, an unmistakable red "Disconnected" when it isn't.

Below that, a new ISM Modules section shows every module installed on your M3 as an expandable card — type, health, and status at a glance; serial number and onboard sensors on expand. And when a module is physically removed, the device asks you to confirm it over Bluetooth: intentional removals update the configuration on the spot, and anything unexpected is flagged for a physical check — closing the loop right at the tank, no cloud round-trip required.

🧭Navigation that meets you where you are

The floating action button retires — by popular demand.

One of the most requested changes from last year's Sennos Summit, delivered in v1.3: the floating action button is gone from every screen, replaced by the right pattern for each context. List screens get a clear button at the top of the list ("Start a fermentation," "Add a tank"). Detail screens with a single action get an edit icon in the top bar. Detail screens with several actions get a tidy "More" menu — with high-stakes actions like End Fermentation appropriately set apart. And the dashboard is now purely for monitoring, exactly as it should be.

🛢️Tank geometry

Two measurements today, automatic volume detection tomorrow.

Cone height and port height are now fields on every tank — visible on Tank Details and editable in a new Tank Geometry section on Edit Tank, with units derived automatically from the tank's volume unit. These two measurements let the Sennos gravity model estimate fluid volume below the sensor — the prerequisite for automatically detecting additions and knockouts. Enter them once per tank and you're ready when that capability ships. Mobile now has full parity with Sennoslink Web v2.0.

⚖️Volume units that follow your operation

Whether your cellar thinks in barrels, gallons, hectoliters, or liters, v1.3 makes units flow the way your operation does. New locations and tanks are created with the right volume unit automatically — from your company default and parent location — and moving a tank to a location with a different unit always asks before changing anything. All six supported units are available on every screen, in full parity with web.
